Service Area – New York City

Dr. Wendy Wolfson is a New York City (NYC) psychiatrist and psychopharmacologist.  As a Manhattan psychiatrist, she treats a variety of disorders, which include the following:

– Generalized Anxiety Disorder
– Adult Attention Deficit Disorder
– Major Depressive Disorder
– Eating Disorders
– Panic Disorder
– Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
– Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder

Dr. Wendy is a psychiatrist in NYC who helps patients take a comprehensive look at their lives using a unique approach to treatment called Psych360. This treatment involves not just examining patients’ issues, but also considering their fitness nutrition, as well as their relationships. Using this approach, Dr. Wendy supplies patients with tools that allow them to take charge of their own lives. This more active approach is different from the traditional psychiatric model still practiced by many NYC psychiatrists wherein a patient talks and psychiatrist listens. The patient is guided so that they come to their own insights and conclusions about where changes need to be made within their lives.

Psych360 is a practical and applicable to real-life issues, because it necessitates examining both the mental and psychical concerns that may hold patients back. Some New York City (NYC) don’t factor in how nutrition and fitness routines can affect how people feel. Dr. Wendy understands and deeply believes that these issues can have tremendous impact on a patient’s mental and physical well being. With Psych360, Dr. Wendy listens to patient’s  concerns, and tries to assess where some of the real problems lie. She can then supply them with workable tools to help address these difficulties and take charge of their own happiness.  To do that she helps patients identify their strengths and how they can use those strengths in their recovery.

As a Manhattan psychopharmacologist, Dr. Wolfson uses mediation as a tool to alleviate the symptoms of depression and anxiety. She considers these to be obstacles which prevent patients from gaining clarity in their lives. Dr. Wendy approaches every patient as an individual and tries to fit the medication to their specific needs.

Dr. Wendy’s goal is to help patient’s lead happier and more satisfying lives. She has been very successful at this by considering the “whole patient” and addressing their care from multiple angles. With the Psych360 approach which uses counseling, coaching and medication, patients have reported sustained relief from their symptoms and improvement in the quality of their lives.
